The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for England and Wales/Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 give the responsible person a duty of care to ensure the fire safety of their staff.
This includes the appointment of competent nominated staff with fire safety responsibilities and other staff who should receive adequate information, instruction and training on a regular basis including the use of fire extinguishers.
About the course
90 minute sessions involve part theory (1 hr) and part practical (½ hr) using water extinguishers on a fire simulator, which requires an area equal to 3 car parking spaces, including a space to park the van, with a maximum 3 sessions per day.
An extremely practical course that is environmentally friendly, safe and realistic in use which demonstrates to attendees the heat produced by fire.

Testimonials
Excellently presented. Very clearly explained and demonstrated. Good to refresh memory of practical procedures and ‘feel’ of different types of extinguisher. Great film clips too!
Tracey Richards
I had no idea there are so many extinguishers so that was very useful. Also had no idea which one I should use for different purposes. It was very informative and in a good time frame.
